On every firmware from 3.9 there has been a new icon in the Network section. Clicking the GoMessenger icon will start the download and registration process with BT. This can take about ten minutes in total. This application is only useful if you know others who have it. It could be useful in sending short messengers to each other, to teachers and to students.
I feel its best use is to show students how to get their message across in the 15 second message allowance. This is the only real communication system between PSP to PSP, PC to PSP and PSP to PC that owners of the PSP 1000 (Original) have.
I have tried the feature a few times but its just not that useful to me. Maybe you could give it a go and tell me what I am doing wrong? PSP-2000 and PSP-3000 users can employ the more robust SKYPE on their systems.

Ok, this news is specific for the DS games, Brain Age but the very model can be replicate on the PSP with Mind Quiz or Hot Brain or on the PS3 with BuzzTV! Using the PSP will definately boost Maths scores and the PS3 with Buzz can assist with History, Citizenship and Geography. (Heck even Art and Fashion)
| A daily dose of computer games can boost maths attainment, according to a study carried out in Scottish schools. |
| Learning and Teaching Scotland – the main organisation for the development of the curriculum – analysed the effect of a “brain training” game. |
| It also found improvements in pupils’ concentration and behaviour. |
| The study involved more than 600 pupils in 32 schools across Scotland using the Brain Training from Dr Kawashima game on the Nintendo DS every day. |
| A group of pupils played the game, which included reading tests, problem-solving exercises and memory puzzles, for 20 minutes at the start of their class for nine weeks. A control group continued their lessons in a more traditional manner. |
| The pupils were tested at the beginning and then the end of the study. |
| Researchers found that while all groups had improved their scores, the group using the game had improved by a further 50%. |

There are several different application which allow you to resize files. In fact, must basic editing software can do this one image at a time. When wanting to resize several files you need to use a batch image converting program. I have used quite a few but for now I’ve settled on XNview.

I love this game. I have the
demo on my PS3 and PSP. The training demo allows you to get use to the game and the special rules taht govern it. I think its a great calming game for all, especiall teachers and students. I also believe it to be a geat spatial awareness test. Download it and give it a go!!
PS3 owners go direct to the PSN Store in any country!
|
Here’s your chance to get echochrome on your PSP. This demo will give you a small taste of this Escher-inspired perspective-bending puzzle game. The Triangle button will pause the game, allowing you to think. The X button will speed up the avatar. Simply experiment — we’re sure you’ll do well!
|
1. Download the demo zip file. [Click here for direct download from PSP.]
2. Extract the contents of the zip file.
3. Connect your PSP to your computer using a USB cable.
4. Go to the PSP/GAME folder.
5. Copy NPJG90019 folder into the GAME directory. Make sure there are no sub-directories in this folder. |

I will be posting SWF files and future video on this subject in the future. There are some basic educational games that you can use at zero cost to you.
| The Flash functionality of the PSP can provide hours of entertainment for gamers who’ve made the jump into greater firmware revisions. You may remember chubigan’s Flash Arcade from a while back, but now you want to add Flash files of your own to your PSP. But the problem is, what if you’re not too computer savvy? Thankfully, this video is a pretty easy (but notably boring) way of learning the process of finding SWF files, putting them to your PSP, and then finally, accessing them. |

This is a great way of getting
free books either through a
PC or PSP browser. Remember these important instructions.
1. Position the cursor over the download arrow
2. Use the Triangle key to display the PSP browser menu.
3. Select “Save Link Target” from the first pop-up menu, and save the file to your Memory Stick.
4. You can open the saved file using the browser’s location field, for example: “file:/psp/common/filename.html”
5. Create a bookmark to the saved file for easy access.
| You got your literature on my PSP. No, you got your PSP on my literature. |
Two great tastes come together as one when your PSP meets a library full of classic literature. Of course, ebook reading is nothing new to the PSP, but it has sometimes been a bit of an irksome process to track down and transfer books.
Luckily, the community ha s psp.manybooks.net to simplify things for us. And when they say “many books,” they mean it, backing the claim up with a library of nearly 12,000 classic works.
Each ebook is available to be read live, page-by-page via your PSP’s browser, or you can go old-school and download the ebook for transfer to your memory stick.
So, next time Mom says you’ve been playing too much PSP, you can tell her you’re reading Shakespeare (or you can at least load some up real quick so that she thinks your feeding your brain instead of destroying it.)

You can use simple software designed for the PSP to convert text into images. Just place the created ebook into the PHOTO folder within your PSP.
For an example download a Stargate interview in photo form directly.
PSP Ebook Creator
Essential Tip
- Keep to a simple plain background of black or white
- Both portrait and landscape view work but I have found the latter to be more conducive to reading
- Keep the font simple and always put it into bold
- The minimum font size to use is 12 but i prefer 14 or 16
- Always number the pages
- Increase JPEG Compression to ‘Best’
Visit the tutorial page and help page on the website

I am a big fan of Stargate and I thought I could create a image book using a recent interview. The main interview took 1 minute to create but the images and editing took almost an hour to do. This is an example of how you can use the free software to convert text into an article or book for you PSP image folder. You can even sync it to your ipod and it will be readable.
